Our methodology

How catalogue facts, retailer observations and editorial judgements are kept distinct.

Model and specification data

We prioritise official brand pages for model names, generations, release information and technical specifications. Retailer pages may supplement colour, audience, width and market-specific availability. Where sources disagree, the most direct and model-specific source takes priority.

Prices, sizes and stock

Prices and stock are observations from individual retailer listings and can change at any time. We retain the shoe in the catalogue when it is unavailable so runners can compare generations. The retailer checkout remains the final source for price, delivery and returns.

Ratings

Third-party ratings are labelled with their source and are not represented as Shoe Feed user ratings. A Shoe Feed score, where present, is a separate editorial signal.

Reviews and recommendations

Editorial pages should explain who a shoe suits, its limitations, the evidence considered and meaningful alternatives.

Corrections and updates

Catalogue records are revised as brands release new information and retailer listings change. Substantive editorial updates should change the page’s modification date. Thin catalogue records are kept out of the search sitemap until they contain a useful model-specific summary.
